Teaching

Starting in January, I will be teaching Sun, Stars and Planets (level 2). Course material will be available on `blackboard'.

 

For the postgraduate lectures, the summary notes are a bit large for this page, so I have split them into separate parts: introduction (stars_intro.pdf) and parameters (parameters_condensed.pdf). More to follow. 

Research Interests

My research interest is to observe and understand stellar activity on the

Sun and Sun-like stars.

 

  • Stellar Surface Imaging
  • Solar precursors: T Tauri stars and pre-main-sequence stars (see `Stars & Origins' on our group web pages)
  • Solar and Stellar irradiance variability (see links in the solar section)
  • H-alpha galactic plane surveys and spectroscopic follow-up:
